What is AccelClose?
AccelClose is close-automation software that gets finance teams out of spreadsheets and posts clean journal entries into the general ledger. It builds the technical accounting schedules — leases (ASC 842), fixed assets, intangibles, prepaids, debt, revenue, accruals, and intercompany — with the standard baked in, routes each entry through an approval queue, and posts it straight into QuickBooks or Xero.
How do I automate journal entries in QuickBooks Online or Xero?
Connect your QuickBooks Online or Xero account, build (or upload) your schedule in AccelClose, and approve it. AccelClose then posts the journal entry for each period straight into your ledger — the current month plus any catch-up periods — with a document ID and duplicate-blocking so nothing posts twice. You approve before anything hits the books.
Which ERPs does AccelClose post to?
QuickBooks Online and Xero are live today — approve once, then post month by month directly into your ledger. Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and Dynamics 365 are on the roadmap. You can also work entirely from Excel/CSV and export ERP-formatted journal entries without any ERP connection.
Is my data secure, and can AccelClose move my money?
AccelClose only reads your chart of accounts and posts journal entries you have approved — it does not move cash, pay bills, or initiate transactions. Nothing posts until you approve it, every entry carries a document ID and duplicate-blocking, and you can give your auditor read-only access to the trail.
How does posting actually work — will it create duplicates?
You approve a schedule once, then post each period on your timeline. Every posted entry is stamped with a document ID, and AccelClose blocks a duplicate of the same entry from posting to the same period twice. If you disconnect an ERP, schedules stay intact and you can resume posting later.
Do I need an ERP connection to use AccelClose?
No. AccelClose works without an ERP — build your schedules and export ERP-formatted CSV journal entries you can import anywhere. When you're ready, connect QuickBooks or Xero to post directly instead of exporting.
How much does AccelClose cost?
Plans start at $149/mo (Starter, for solo controllers), $299/mo (Pro, single-entity teams with live QuickBooks & Xero sync), and $549/mo (Business, multi-entity with intercompany and consolidation). Enterprise is custom. Every plan includes a 30-day free trial with no credit card required, and the interactive demo is free with no signup.
Who is AccelClose for?
Fractional CFOs, CPA firms, and in-house finance teams who are tired of building technical schedules in spreadsheets and re-keying journal entries into the ERP. It's especially built for firms running the close across multiple clients — one login, isolated client workspaces, and posting into each client's own QuickBooks or Xero.
Can a fractional CFO or firm manage multiple clients in one account?
Yes. You sign in once and switch between isolated client workspaces, each with its own chart of accounts, schedules, and ERP connection, and post journal entries into each client's own ledger. See the For Firms page for details.
What accounting standards does AccelClose cover?
The schedules are standards-driven — including ASC 842 (leases), ASC 360 (fixed assets), ASC 350 (intangibles and goodwill), ASC 470 (debt and debt-issuance-cost amortization), and ASC 606 (revenue). Each schedule builds the compliant treatment automatically so the journal entry ties out.
